2021 Accomplishments:
• Held 4 well-attended Regional Institutes—strengthened the partnership with Prevent Child Abuse NC
• Added more members and expanded diversity of group
• More sophisticated in how the group communicates. Separated meeting lists for those who attend and those who get the
weekly updates.
• Modeled System of Care through emphasis on cross-disability, inter-agency collaboration and family and youth leadership.
• Improved internal and external partnerships:
• NCCCYF is supporting the partnership between the Subcommittee and i2i
• Other NCCCYF committees are aligning with the Policy and Research Subcommittee, e.g. TAY, Marketing
• Working with LAND
• Invited to provide full Collaborative with educational information.
• Withstood the pandemic and the group has remained strong.
• Assisted members to be active participants in statewide external groups and to promote System of Care.
• Facilitating a place and engaging people early in the process so they want to learn more and be pro-active. Putting policy
and legislative language in terms that everyone can understand.
• Well-oiled team!
